Hexagonal Essence Bottle | The Thrilling Collision with Art

1

In designing this new product, designer Jian considered not only the functional efficacy of the cosmetic bottle, but also experimented with different bottle shapes (hexagonal) to interpret the concept while retaining aesthetic appeal.

We know that a quality cosmetic bottle can effectively prevent oxidation and moisture permeation of the formula. This certainly requires proper fittings to serve as seals.

While meeting technical requirements, Jian pursued ingenious styling. The hexagonal outline lends a graceful symmetry. The slanted shoulders and narrowed neck create an elegant silhouette. Thoughtful details like the debossed logo further enhance the premium quality.Through this sophisticated hexagonal bottle, Jian has succeeded in blending performance and beauty in a captivating new form.

For example, the innovative “hexagonal cap” styling enhances design aesthetics and unifies the look, while the hexagonal facets improve grip.

The 4.5 pound Imperial State Crown worn by Queen Elizabeth II at her coronation represents the weight of responsibility in bearing the crown. Likewise, the overshell echoing the crown’s form contains deeper meaning beyond its appearance. This interconnection inspired us to broaden the uniqueness of packaging art through diverse linguistic and cultural influences in the early design phase.

Just as the splendor of diamonds and jewels adorning the crown magnify regality, the ornamental overshell augments the nobility of the inner vessel. The empty space outlined by its facets hints at the essence within. Thissecondary shell protects the precious contents while conferring a stately air.

By drawing this royal parallel, the packaging elevates the user experience. The emblematic crown overlay speaks to the value 5

From researching typeface layouts, presenting concept sketches, to the final design development, this process also represents a collision between packaging craft and art!

After distilling the rich ceramic culture, LEEK adopted the hexagonal bottle as the prototype to design an exquisite, distinctive look that accentuates artistic flair and fashionability. Considering the inherent thickness of glass material, we used light colored packaging to impart a sense of deftness and poise in visual chromatics.

This also conveys the aesthetic concept of porcelain – expressing meaning through contemplation and passing on form through heritage!

The appealing elongated neck and slanted shoulders evoke our connection to museum porcelain when applied to the dropper bottle’s overshell. If the traditional Bo Gu pattern represents decorative flair with strong humanistic warmth, then the airy spray printing and gilding impart the most direct appreciation of aesthetics.

The meticulous combination of matte and gloss on the overshell creates intriguing visual textures. The raised gilding contrasts elegantly against the subdued matte background, resembling the shimmer of gold powder dusted over fine porcelain.

This interplay between traditional motifs and modern techniques bridges heritage with innovation. The packaging achieves the dual luxuries of craftsmanship and artistry.
